The Pennsylvania State University, Mont Alto location is seeking an Enrollment Services Specialist to provide consultative services to prospective and current students and their families, facilitate admissions, determine financial aid eligibility, and evaluate applications.


* Counsel and advise prospective students/families regarding enrollment through the student life cycle.

* Responsible for providing in-take services; responding to direct requests from individual applicants, parents, and counselors through phone, and email, and assisting visitors to the office.

* Evaluate and analyze credentials on students' applications to determine eligibility for financial assistance and admissions applications.

* Evaluate readmission applications and add advance standing credits required for graduation.

* Evaluate records for retroactive drop/adds, withdrawals, cancellations, and grade changes.

* Review, analyze, assess, and process information, records, and transcripts for determining academic credit and eligibility for degrees and/or specialized programs.

* Present at recruitment and/or student aid and/or enrollment services events for prospective and current students on behalf of the University and/or campus.

* Create and implement outreach programs/presentations targeted to specific populations.

* Work and collaborate with other University units/campuses to develop and deliver a consistent message to prospective and current students during the enrollment life cycle.

* Manage application follow-up by running reports, developing communication strategies to reach students with active applications, and maintaining reports/spreadsheets for special populations.

* Some evening and weekend hours may be expected.

* Local and regional travel is required.

* Proficiency in another language is highly desired.


* Bachelor's degree or higher

* Plus 1 year of related experience

* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position will require the successful completion of standard background checks.


The following clearances must be completed for this position:

* Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check
* Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
* Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
