Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Rep.
Possess a good understanding of the use of application of products and in the manufacturing environment.
10+ years’ experience working in sales of systems with a technical background such as trade or diploma in the mechanical or electrical engineering fields.
Have a calm and reassuring personality when negotiating with senior customers.
Experience in managing sales teams in manufacturing or sales of industrial related components.
It will be an advantage if you have existing contact with companies in the industrial automation market.
A strong knowledge of technical products.
The ability to understand mechanical or electrical technical drawings and data sheets.
Be available to travel and be able to work alone and remotely if necessary.
Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
Contact past and existing customers to determine which products or service the company can provide.
Target new customers to grow the customer base and sales.
Determine other products and services the company can engage in to boost sales.
Implement a strategy to increase sales and profitability.
Responsible for the composition of quotes.
Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the customers are kept up to date with their order status.
Create and manage a sales team to further increase sales and profitability.
