  • Assist in the procurement and inventory management of module consumables. This involves liaising with international (likely Chinese) suppliers.
  • Carry out structural stress testing of various novel module materials (e.g. static and dynamic loading, tensile stress testing of module frames, sheer stress loading).
  • Perform stability testing of solar cells from SunDrive’s proprietary plating metallisation line in accordance with IEC standards (e.g. LeTID and UV-LID).
  • Coordinate external testing of SunDrive modules and perform routine performance monitoring for installed PV systems.
  • Fabrication of mini- and full-sized modules to test out novel concepts, materials and production conditions.
  • Design of experiments to innovate new techniques and procedures.
  • Day-to-day characterisation of modules undergoing reliability and environmental chamber testing.
  • Analysis of data to draw conclusions on the efficacy of production materials and methodology.
