LCHS in partnership with the Department of Education and Training (DET) has an exciting opportunity available for suitably qualified Allied Health Clinicians to join a multidisciplinary team as part of the School Readiness Funding and Speech Pathology in Schools initiatives. These initiatives work in a capacity building model to provide kindergartens and primary schools with support to deliver evidence-based, quality programs and supports to ensure children get the most out of their early learning.

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with a team of Allied Health professionals who work in collaboration with educators in kindergartens, teachers in schools, and with families, to build their capability to create an environment for kindergarten and early primary school aged children that promotes:

  • Improved speech, language, social interaction and early literacy outcomes
  • Self-regulation and positive and pro-social behaviours
  • Social and emotional wellbeing and mastery of everyday tasks
  • About LCHS

Latrobe Community Health Service is a charitable not-for-profit health service. Our origins are in Gippsland, however in recent years LCHS has begun providing services across Victoria, Western Australia and South Eastern Sydney. We services include general practice (GP), nursing, allied health, dental, counselling and psychology, gambling support, alcohol and drug treatment, migrant and refugee support services, social connection and carer support services. LCHS provides planning and early childhood intervention services for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Victoria and South East Sydney, Aged home care packages across Victoria and Veterans’ Home Care assessment and coordination services in Western Australia.

As part of the rapid growth all Paediatric Services across Gippsland have been consolidated into the Paediatric and Youth hub, to ensure a holistic and continuous service to the children in our region. Opportunities to work across different programs within the paediatric and youth hub are possible.

At LCHS, you’ll have the confidence to better practise your profession, organise your life and plan your career. We’ve invested time in understanding which approaches result in holistic patient outcomes and have a dedicated team working together to achieve these.
