A well-known food manufacturing company in the East Rand, has a vacancy for a Cost and Management Accountant, the above mentioned will be responsible for conducting ongoing process constraint analyses, draw up ports on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances, stock count and usage variances.
Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle together with the responsible managers that are accountable for the various inventory categories.
Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
Update standard costs in the bills of material.
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month end close.
Accumulate and apply overheads costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles.
Work with the commercial and inventory management team to locate and dispose of obsolete inventory.
3+ years of accounting/costing/ experience.
B.com degree or comparable equivalent.
Syspro and inventory costing modes and practices essential.
Experience with extracting and analysing large databases advantageous.
3+ years in an environment.
