Reliability of Electrical equipment, instrumentation and burner management equipment in Calcination at Pinjarra Refinery
An opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Reliability Engineer to join the team at our Pinjarra Refinery. The working roster is Monday through Friday, with one leisure day every four-week period!
As a Reliability Engineer you will play an integral role in supporting our operation. In this role you will identify long term opportunities for improvement through a focus on equipment reliability, improving plant capacity, and the provision of technical assistance. You will also provide single point accountability for engineering support in the day to day operations.
Your role will be challenging and diverse. You will have a strong customer focus. As part of the operating centre team, you will be a key player in improving refinery performance in the short and long terms.
Your contribution will include:
Leading root cause analysis investigation of failures
Providing expert engineering advice for operations and maintenance “day to day” activities
Developing work scopes for major equipment repairs using fitness for service approaches
Developing and improving equipment management strategies using a suite of reliability approaches
Identifying longer term business improvement opportunities
Involvement with Capital Projects, and
Safety leadership; the corner stone of Alcoa operations!
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, with previous experience in maintenance, reliability or plant engineering highly regarded,
The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, crucial within our dynamic team environment.
The desire to learn new skills and be self-motivated,
A sound track record in pro-active problem solving with your use of initiative, and a strong desire to continuously improve business performance, and
Passion and commitment to Environment, Health and Safety in the workplace.
