Job Summary/Company :

Sparks Group has partnered with several prominent and successful companies in the Melbourne, FL area to identify s. This position is 100% remote. We are looking for candidates with 7+ years of experience designing, installing, and maintaining digital communication networks within a federal organization. 

Responsibilities :

  • Support professional services and take client project opportunities from concept to implementation
  • Projects are focused on Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, and Cloud technologies as well as software and services
  • Identify/implement management, security, and best practice improvements across client environments in on-prem datacenter, office locations, and Cloud (Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Hands-on work on firewall, switching, router, load balancer, and virtualization technologies
  • Qualifications/Background Profile :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 7+ years of network communications experience
  • Hands-on experience in Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
  • Knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, BGP, and static routing
  • Experience with WAN technologies (MPLS, Point-to-point, Metro Ethernet, and SD-WAN)
  • Familiarity with Cisco switching platforms (Cisco 3850, 4500, 6800, and Nexus 5000 and 7000 series)
  • Working knowledge of fiber optics and testing methodologies (OTDR, OSA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of protocols: HSRP, GSLB, VRRP, NAT, IPSEC, ARP, 802.1x, and GRE
  • Extensive knowledge of switching technologies (802.1Q, STP, RSTP, PVST+, etc.)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, SMTP, and other basic protocols
  • Knowledge of DNS, FTP, SNMP, NetFlow
  • Experience supporting Cisco and Meraki bases secure enterprise wireless networks and understanding of wireless standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
  • Experience supporting IP-based voice and video systems, including QoS on both LAN and WAN infrastructure
  • Experience with Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Cisco ISE
  • Familiarity with Websense, NetBrain, Infoblox, SolarWinds, Atlas, NetFlow, ArgoSec, Riverbed SteelHead, Splunk/ArcSight, AWS, etc.
  • Writing scripts to automate manual tasks and streamline operational tasks
  • Experience implementing and supporting applications load balancing using F5
  • Experience with VPN technologies including Cisco AnyConnect and Zscaler ZPA
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Azure/AWS
  • Work Status: due to government requirements, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
  • Clearance Type: Clearable for Public Trust
