GENOMICS RESEARCH CENTER QTL MAP INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.
The QTL Map intern will implement a pipeline to generate harmonized Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) maps derived from expression (eQTL) and protein (pQTL) measurements across therapeutic areas and programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Centralize and catalog datasets for QTL analysis
Perform evaluation and testing of internally developed molecular QTL mapping pipeline(s) and compare functionality and performance with a publicly available standardized pipeline.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Genetics, Computational Biology or related field
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
