PROTEIN ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

The Protein Analytical Chemistry Intern will work within the Biologics Analytical Research and Development (B-ARD) team. The B-ARD team is responsible for all aspects of CMC analytical development required to advance new biologic candidates into clinical studies.
As the Protein Analytical Chemistry Intern, you will work with a scientific mentor to investigate the use of alternative charge-based separation methods (such as capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC), and/or other state of the art separation technologies that may offer advantages for characterization of novel protein therapeutics, including bispecifics, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and/or monoclonal antibodies.
Key responsibilities include:
Operation of instrumentation, including HPLC/UPLC, CE, and/or mass spectrometry
Design and execute experiments
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be enrolled in university during the internship period
Knowledge and hands on experience with common laboratory techniques (pipetting, pH measurement, and buffer preparation)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to protein chemistry, biotechnology, monoclonal antibodies
Strong desire to learn about recombinant protein technology, protein analytical chemistry methods, and/or biotherapeutic protein drug development

The salary range is (minimum: $ 51, 750 to maximum: $ 101,250 )
