Minimum requirements: MatricLegal secretary / conveyancing qualification advantageousMinimum of at least 5 years conveyancing experienceFull working knowledge of all MS packagesExperience on ABSA bonds essentialIn-depth knowledge of conveyancing software/systems such as: Lexis Convey, Lotus Notes, E4 (portal based), Stordoc and WindeedTyping and formatting letters, correspondence, legal documents and commercial agreements (copy typing required)Incorporating amendments to legal documents and commercial agreementsMaintaining/updating client contact detailsCapturing timesheets of multiple professionalsPreparing pre-bills and billing memos (sending same to client) and attending to the cancellations thereofPreparing resource and client filesTaking transfer (including sectional title) and bond instructions (including commercial bonds and notarial bonds) which will include (amongst other things), drawing of documents, checking of documents, attending to signing of documents, lodgements, registration of final accounts/finances and despatching documents to clientsPreparing files accurately and according to specificationsAttending to lodgements and registrations of all conveyancing mattersLiaising with clients, correspondents and internal deeds office clerk/driver,Conducting property, person and company searchesFICA administration, following up to ensure the FICA requirements are completeEnsure the filing system is kept up to date (hard copy and electronic)Ability to type documents confidently with attention to detailAbility to work fast, accurately, efficiently and independentlyAbility to take initiative and be proactiveAbility to work under pressure for prolonged periodsSense of responsibilityMaintaining confidentiality in all mattersGood people skills and team spiritExcellent client management skillsConsultant: Stephnie Taljaard - Dante Personnel Cape Town
