A Cape Town based Investment Manager is looking for an Investment Administration Team Leader to join and guide their growing team.

The ideal candidate would have 8+ years' Investment Administration experience (at least 5 years at Team Leader / Manager level), within an Asset Manager or a 3rd party administrator. Experience in Unit Trusts / Pension Funds would be preferable. RE5 essential . 

This person should have excellent people skills: able to lead and mentor a young team and have the confidence to liaise with clients and investors. Have a great attention to detail and good technical knowledge; ability to correct errors of the team, and understand controls, identify gaps and offer solutions. 

Some key areas of responsibility include: 

Responsible for the management of all administration related activities of client investments including unitising portfolios, transaction processing and payments processing.
Ensure controls and procedures are in place and monitor compliance by the team.
Guide and support the team as an escalation point for technical knowledge. Address gaps in knowledge through training.
Manage performance of direct reports and deliverables of the Administration team.
