IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

The Integration & API Developer is responsible for assisting in the development of composable APIs that enable enterprise application and data integration using the MuleSoft platform. This role will help create and support digital products that help reduce cost and implementation speed each time product features are reused for new interface development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

DIGITAL ASSET DEVELOPMENT

  • Learns and applies Clorox enterprise integration principles and standards to the implementation of end-to-end interfaces and API product features.

  • Understands the backlog of integration product features, proposes prioritization and sizing effort, and makes commitments to execution within an agile delivery framework.

  • Translates business and technical requirements into API design, configuration, and code, ultimately producing fully-functioning software and its accompanying documentation.
  • Collaborates with systems architects, engineers, and application subject-matter-experts to establish secure connectivity with Clorox software applications and unlock system data and capabilities.
  • API CATALOG MANAGEMENT AND METRICS REPORTING

  • Learns and applies best practices for publishing integration assets, such as connectors, templates, examples, and APIs, to enable future discovery.
  • Create and maintain mappings between end-to-end interface portfolio and the catalog of APIs and microservices assembled to implement them.

  • Configure and generate reports and/or visualizations of metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) on the health, status, and other concerns related to integrations.

  • PRESENTATION AND STORYTELLING

  • Develop presentation materials to communicate work results, lessons learned, and value created for EDT and the larger Clorox community.

  • Evangelize product development success to influence adoption of APIs and modern real-time integration techniques and technologies.

  • WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

    EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • University/College Senior, working towards a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related program.
  • Successfully applied basic engineering principles to solve problems.

  • Demonstrated use of computing environments (hardware, software, networks, operating systems).

  • Strong customer-orientation and concern for the user experience of technology.
  • Familiarity or experience with Java (preferably) or at least another Object-Oriented language.
  • Working knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
  • Working knowledge of HTTP, request/response patterns and common methods (GET/POST/PUT/DELETE).
  • High-level understanding of messaging patterns such as JMS or AMQP.

    The applicable pay range for this role in the U.S. is based on your work location according to the cost of labor in your area.

    *$26 - $32/hr
