The Opportunity

This position works out of our Roodepoort Offices, Abbott Place in the Established Pharmaceutical Division where we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world's fastest-growing countries. Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.

What You'll Do:

* Ensures the processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
* Maintain the Quality System Documentation to ensure it meets ISO requirements and Abbott requirements.
* Actively reviews the Quality Objectives and inputs form Departmental KPIs into the Metrics and presents at site management meetings.
* Identifies any risks noted within Abbott product and processes and reports into management
* Evaluates New Suppliers with Quality Manager and assign the categories as per procedures
* Ensures that all the required Quality Training is monitored for completion and records filed.
* Ensures the Audit programs devised are adhered and all audits are performed in accordance with said procedures.
* Ensure Quality Hold notifications are implemented in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
* Upholds the company's core values.
* Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the Abbott Quality System.
* Any Adhoc duties required by the division.

Required Qualifications

* BSc Life Sciences or related qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum 1 year of experience working in Quality Assurance,within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry is essential
* Comprehensive knowledge of GMP.
* Knowledge of current legislation governing the quality of registered medicines & complementary medicines.
* Knowledge of other legal requirements impacting the quality and regulatory environment, e.g. GMP, Guidelines for Amendment etc.
