The Assembler position is responsible for the general assembly of electrical components and wires into large scale inverter equipment (combiner boxes), packaging tools, pre-assembled parts and loose material into kits, and getting all material ready for the shipping process.


+ Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

+ Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates and reading measurements.

+ Tighten and fasten pre-fabricated electrical or electronic parts and install components, units, subassemblies, raceways, wiring, and assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, screws, clamps and similar hardware

+ Prepare wire: identify and separate wire by color, trim, clip, tin wires and leads, wire according to pre-determined specifications, connect wire to a pre-connected wiring device, and package wire for kit

+ Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.

+ Drill and tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.

+ Measure, cut, and glue PVC pipe

2. Crimper 1 (Line Captain) - Runs 1st Crimping Machine

3. Crimper 2 (Second in Command) - Runs 2nd Crimping Machine

4. Tightener - Tightens the connectors

5. Tester - Plugs in both ends to testing device to ensure current is running.

6. Bagger - Puts bag over ends and runs through sealing machine (Only done with wire over 40inches)

7. Palletizer - Palatizes final product to be moved by forklift operators.

Will be rotated as needed.

• Use a square bit power drill to construct tables used for storage

• Pack wires onto cart to be palletized

• Palletize different length wires into bags

• Record & initial a QC sheet to fulfill orders correctly

• Spool wires to lengths given from supervisor, place label, cut, then zip tie together

• Split ends of the wire using custom built machine

• Store wires into cart to then be moved to different area of department

• Record amount of wires spooled each hour

• Use electronic device to test the electric current of wire

• Place specific color tape on wire

• Use polypropylene strapping kit including tensioner, crimper, metal strapping seals and cart to keep bags tied to a pallet to be ready for shipment

• Use sandpaper & apply to thicker wire of 100-200', alcohol to clear residue, heat gun to glue rings onto wire using custom measuring tool

• Follow safety measures such as unplugging heat gun and storing it properly onto custom built holster underneath table of the wire

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**

- Ability to read written instructions.

- Familiar with the safe use of power and hand tools: screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, saws, cutters, tape measures, levels, drills, drivers, saws, impact guns

- Ability to read a tape measure and other tools used for measuring

- Ability to identify material, parts, and tools
