Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a **Loads & Dynamics (L&D) Manager** to join the BDS Fixed-Wing Aircraft L&D capability team located in **Oklahoma, OK** . This position will lead L&D engineering teams supporting multiple BDS fixed-wing aircraft programs at the site, to include B-52, VC-25A, E-7, and emerging programs. This position will report to a BDS Flight Engineering Senior Manager and will include additional responsibilities in the areas of Talent Management, Design Practices, Tools & Processes, Model Based Engineering (MBE), and Technical Excellence.

**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Leads, develops, and motivates employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Weights and Mass Properties Engineering

+ Develops and executes integrated plans, manages risks, and implements policies and procedures

+ Leads talent acquisition activities to effectively staff future work scope

+ Leads employee development and engagement to support career growth, retention objectives, recognition and empowerment

+ Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

+ Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

+ Develop and implement methods to avoid and resolve complex technical issues that require a high level of ingenuity and innovation

This position may require occasional travel.

**This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.** An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

+ Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

+ 5+ years of experience in aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, computational fluid dynamics, maneuver load analysis, structural dynamics, modern control systems and /or finite element methods

+ 1+ years of experience leading engineering teams or projects in a formal or informal leadership role

+ Willing to travel up to 10%

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

+ Strong communication skills

+ Ability to provide proactive leadership in a dynamic environment to drive technical excellence

+ Experience interacting with or performing Loads & Dynamics engineering

+ Competencies that include: adaptability, building a successful team, communication, cross functional partnerships, customer focus, decision making, gaining commitment, leading via vision and values, planning and organizing, systems thinking, and implementing work standards

+ Technical competencies in engineering processes, engineering knowledge and comprehension, process management skills, product knowledge, and project leadership

+ Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Summary pay range: $119,000 - $161,000
