The U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy EDIS contract does require a minimum of 2 full years within the last 5 years of Early Intervention experience working with the age group, birth to 3 years old.

Start date is pending all Government approvals, which takes 4-6 months for their approvals.

The Government’s qualification requirements are:

Shall possess a Master’s Degree form an accredited Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and have two (2) years of pediatric experience within the last five (5) years.

Shall have and maintain board certification and a current license to practice Occupational Therapy in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of clinical services. This license shall be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid (the issuing authority accepts and considers QA information (i.e. practitioner professional performance and conduct in determining continued licenses), and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction). “

Shall have knowledge and preferably have experience working in family-centered early intervention models and school-based settings.

MRS providers shall have a minimum of two (2) years of school-based services experience working with special education departments in a school setting.
