Job Description

Under the responsibility of the Vice-President, Heavy Industry the incumbent will be directly involved in the development of all sales and business development activities in the United States with a keen focus on the US Mining Sector as it relates to water treatment equipment and related services.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Promotes Veolia's products and services in the mining sector in order to generate leads and achieve Sales Objectives accordingly; Manages all sales activities within its territory; Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs.

+ Develops, in collaboration with management, the overall commercial development strategy of the industrial projects commercial/tendering strategy and the positioning specifically for the mining markets; Participates in industry and sales meetings to provide recommendations and inputs on business strategies going forward.

+ Assist in the preparation of budget and firm proposals in collaboration with the tender and process engineering teams.

+ Actively follow-up on bids to ensure greatest potential for conversion to orders.

+ Participates in contract negotiation.

+ Builds, maintains and establishes strong business relationships with customers on different levels and strategic suppliers/partners to the company (consulting engineers, contractors).

+ Set the standard of quality for all information being sent to customers to convey the proper message to the marketplace.

+ Participates in all business development activities (, conferences, trade shows, industry associations, etc.).

+ Updates sales database (SalesForce) on a weekly basis, prepares sales forecasts, while keeping abreast of key projects and accounts; Informs the management of all activities, opportunities, issues and project deadlines in a detailed Monthly report.

+ Analyzes and actively communicates information about its market (competition, qualitative and quantitative market analysis).

+ Develops and maintains all communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels within a customers' organization and other Veolia Business units where required.

+ Understands the complete Veolia offering to identify and promote inter-divisional Veolia cross-selling sales opportunities.Maintains a high level of Client Satisfaction.

Qualifications

+ Must have sales proven competencies (hunting, managing accounts, building relationship with clients, etc.);

+ Is keen in exploring opportunities;

+ Must be a good negotiator (project closure and negotiation of terms and conditions), must be able to convince his clients, partners and sub-contractors;

+ Must have exemplary communication skills (oral and written) in English. Must have ease in presentation to groups of various sizes;

+ Must be able to establish relationships easily with a very strong listening ability;

+ Ability to develop and present technical reports, proposals and PowerPoint documents;

+ Must be organized, problem solver and self-directed;

+ Must have in-depth knowledge of the marketing of equipment dedicated to water treatment;

+ Must be self-sufficient and have a good sense of organization and planning of work (rigor and method);

+ Must be exemplary in working with peers;

+ Must be very adaptable, creative and have an analytical mind.

+ Clear understanding of the Merrill Crow process is a plus.

**Education & Experience**

+ College diploma or bachelor's degree related to the job requirements.

+ A minimum of ten year experience in water treatment sales.

+ Knowledge of heavy industrial environments.

+ Knowledge of water treatment processes.

+ Computer skills - Google suite, Microsoft suite.

+ Knowledge of CRM computer system

**Requirements**

+ Will be required to travel for business purposes for approximately 50-60% of the time.

+ Must be available to attend conventions, conferences sometimes on weekends.

+ Must be able to work under pressure to achieve the expected results in a timely matter.

+ Job conditions are based on an expectation of sales results.

+ Must have a valid driver's license
