Advanced Specialty Staff RN - Heart Rhythm *0.8 FTE*

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment

Provides direct quality care for cardiac patients in an out-patient setting. Provides care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. May require the RN to be responsible for the assessment, treatment of care of patients including adult and geriatric. RN must be competent to analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process. Accepts professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Coordinates patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.

Required qualification:

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
* 3 years Direct patient care, preferably in a cardiac setting.
* 1 year Clinical experience in triage principles of patient assessment.
* Experience in delegation of nursing responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed personnel within the medical office setting.
* Required upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
* Required upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
* Required upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualification:

* Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Nursing or related field.
* 3 years in an outpatient cardiac device clinic.
* 1 year Experience with EMR systems.
* 1 year Experience with a Device Database.
* Third party vendor interaction.
* Preferred upon hire: Certified Cardiac Device Specialist Certification
