Business Banking (BB)is a key client facing business group within the Commonwealth Bank. The clients of BB include the Banks corporate, regional and agribusiness and small business clients and caters to all product needs including business lending, everyday business banking, share trading & margin lending, home lending and consumer finance
BB Financeis a divisional finance team within theFinancial Servicesdivision.
BB Financehas dedicated teams to provide financial performance and analysis services to enable effective decision making by various stakeholders.
CommBank Health is an exciting new business within BB. Its focus is to enhance the banks credentials and deliver a market-leading bank offering in the health sector. With recent acquisitions and investments in this capability, this is an opportunity to be part of an exciting new growth area of the bank.
This role reports directly to the Executive Manager – Payments & CommBank Health Finance.
Do work that matters
Key areas of impact & contribution include:
Month end close including management of a legal entity ledger (Xero)
Financial control including financial risk control including balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of product controls
Performance reporting – including driver based insights into areas of success and underperformance
Budgeting & Forecasting – Driver based with commercial understanding outputs
Ad-Hoc analytics and financial assessments to deliver better outcomes for Finance and the Business
Preparation and presentation of monthly performance reports for the Commbank Health CEO & Leadership Team
Strong collaboration with colleagues to deliver outcomes for BB Finance
Providing meaningful performance insights for the business whilst driving continuous process improvement, achieving an effective governance and control environment, and reporting function.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have
Degree qualified (business, finance, IT, risk) with post graduate qualification highly desirable
Accounting qualification – CPA or CA or working towards this
Experience in the Financial Services industry would be beneficial
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Commercial analytical ability and experience
Excellent Financial Control experience
High degree of problem solving and analytical ability with a close attention to detail
Self-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines, without supervision
Sound investigative/probing skills
Risk Mindset– All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
