The Head of Production and Merchandising is responsible for the development of a production schedule and critical path. Working with various departments across the business, including management, design and marketing, this role owns the development process from sample through to final production, liaising and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that the right product is in the right place at the right time, as informed by the needs of the business. 
Reporting to the General Manager you will have a respectful, constructive and energetic style, providing the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company achieves its sales and distribution goals. 
Responsibilities 
Development and management of production critical path
Overseeing and monitoring the production process
Negotiating pricing with freight forwarders and manufacturers
Monitor product standards and implementing quality control programmes
Working with management, design and marketing to improve the quality and value proposition of the TDE range 
Working collaboratively with management, marketing and design and providing advice and resolution on supplier lead times, capabilities and capacities 
Sourcing and developing relationships with new manufacturers and raw material suppliers
Merchandising and demand planning
Working collaboratively with management, marketing and design to develop and optimise an ongoing range plan, merchandise structure and proposed buy for the range plan 
Working collaboratively with management, marketing and design to set the target pricing (both cost and retail) for all TDE ranges 
Developing and maintaining effective forecast models to ensure that all revenue centres are adequately and appropriately stocked 
Tracking sales to monitor the performance of core and seasonal ranges
KPIs 
Creating a range plan and merchandise structure
Hit all critical path milestones
Optimising the current processes associated with developing the range buy
Reviewing and optimising margins across the range plan
Develop new supply and production capabilities for TDE to assist with product and brand evolution
