The opportunity
Do you have an interest in construction? Would you like to be a part of the largest city shaping public transport project in Sydney? Are you an expert in communications and engagement? If you answered yes, then we have a new and exciting fixed term opportunity to join the Metro Communications team (until 31.10.2024).
Working within the Western Sydney Airport Communications team, the primary purpose of this positions will be to manage communications on Western Sydney Airport to ensure effective coordination between key project stakeholders, the community, and Sydney Metro.
This role manages issues around affected individuals, businesses and communities and ensures delivery partners comply with community and engagement liaison contractual requirements for the Project.
You will be required to collaborate with and support the Communication and Engagement Group to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach is taken to government agency and senior stakeholder relationships, media, issues management and marketing within the Project.

About you
You will hold tertiary qualifications in Communications or Stakeholder and Community Relations and have experience in public affairs, government, or stakeholder management. This experience should include managing project communications, stakeholder relations, issues management and working with delivery teams on major infrastructure projects. 
This will include understanding role of communications in compliance of project approvals, dealing with stakeholder issues relating to construction and navigating the complexities of a political environment.
You’ll also need to have experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and be adept at managing multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, with the successful person expected to work at or around Western Sydney Airport project sites when required.
Salary and Benefits
These roles are Transport Grade 9 positions ($138,670 to $155,309 per year, plus superannuation and leave loading)
