The position of Civil Engineer - Drainage within the Highways and Bridges Team predominately involves pit and pipe design for major highways, stormwater basin design, water ways assessments of bridge upgrades, stormwater drainage design for mine sites, transverse culvert design for rail and road, flood modelling and urban development stormwater design. The role offers a significant opportunity to establish yourself within a diverse and growing team of hydrological professionals and to ultimately broaden your experience across the wider water resources sector.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Industry experience in a similar role – essential;



Experience in hydrological studies and detailed hydraulic designs of stormwater and drainage infrastructure such as drains and culverts;



Experience in designing open and piped drainage systems, and erosion and sediment control;



Knowledge of detailed road and rail designs, and multidisciplinary interfaces;



Drainage analysis and design software technology applications (e.g. 12D, DRAINS, HECRAS, Culvert Master, Civil 3D etc.);



Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Environmental), or equivalent – essential.



CPEng status with Engineers Australia (or working towards)



Experience with 12d design software – desirable



Experience with Civil3D design software – desirable.
