  • The Social Worker is a member of a community-based, multi-disciplinary specialist Rehabilitation team, providing services across inpatient and ambulatory settings. Working in partnership with local team members and metropolitan-based Rehabilitation Specialists, the Rehabilitation Social Worker will contribute to the planning, development and implementation of Rehabilitation services in Wallaroo. Services will focus on improving health outcomes, functional capacity and quality of life, in accordance with the State-wide Rehabilitation Service Plans. The Social Worker works under reduced clinical direction and may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students. As a member of a multi-professional team, including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, the Occupational Therapist utilises a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment / therapy and evaluation approaches.

    Must hold a recognized qualification within the Social Worker profession and be eligible for full membership of the relevant Professional Association. For appointment at this level, must be able to demonstrate AHP2 level competencies, or have a 2-year post-graduate master's with a related allied health undergraduate degree.

    This is a part time vacancy, working 37 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

    Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Public Health Act 2011 (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) to work in SA Health/health care setting.
