The Role
The Head of Finance is responsible for all financial management aspects of company operations and reports to the board via the Director Responsible for Finance. The aim of the role is to lead and coordinate the finance, financial business planning, accounting, and budgeting functions of the company. Your role will include (but not be limited to):
Financial tracking of key metrics to report to the board on a bi-monthly basis
Preparation of monthly P&L management accounting, cashflow forecasting and balance sheet reporting to the board
Manage BAS, PAYG and Payroll tax.
Work with our accountants to prepare annual SPFR reporting and other reporting required to ATO
Oversee Finance staff managing accounts receivable
Oversee Finance staff managing accounts payable
Supervise and manage fortnightly payroll
Oversee statutory financial compliance and reporting obligations
Oversee the development of annual budgets and forecasting systems for group and cost centres
Work collaboratively with our leadership team and with admin staff
Provide proactive advice in the improvement of business and financial management processes and systems for the Board to consider.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a CA / CPA qualified, with experience leading a team and you will have experience working in a professional services firm, either as client facing or within the back office function. Technically astute, you will able to present financial data at the highest level but possess a commercial mind-set to add value to non-finance stakeholders.
