Invest Victoria is the Victorian Government's key economic development agency which is responsible for:
attracting and leading Foreign Direct Investment opportunities (excluding in relation to defence, screen, tourism and direct flights);
leading investment opportunities of state significance;
improving the business investment environment through the development of new investment attraction measures (such as debt and equity), identifying areas for improvement, and leveraging additional economic development benefits from a range of government activities;
developing whole-of-government mechanisms (such as facilitation services) and associated frameworks; and
managing and co-ordinating the State's investment pipeline.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Economic Developments in the Strategy Insights team, this fixed-term VPS4 position will:
Provide professional project administration support guidance and coordination to meet client needs.
Develop and maintain processes and materials for internal and external use, including investment collateral, presentations and project plans.
Maintain and develop databases and spreadsheets to support Invest Victoria's strategic priorities.
Build collaborative working relationships that enable the sharing of feedback and ideas for continuous improvement of the talent attraction and insights function within the organisation
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
Ability to creatively solve problems and plan in a dynamic environment using tools to manage time and competing priorities efficiently, ensuring deadlines and targets are met without comprising quality
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information with demonstrated high level of customer service skills to provide authoritative advice on operational programs and processes, and the ability to forge effective relationships in a professional manner
Ability to use written and verbal communication to explain policies and procedures to managers, colleagues and stakeholders, negotiate persuasively and manage expectations
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of applications and other software to support operations and initiate improvements.
