Competitive salary - 9 day compacted fortnight
Started in 2014, the ATMS (Advanced Train Management System) product sees safer and more efficient use of freight rail track. The system manages the distance between trains, directing each driver and managing trackside equipment. Stage 1 of this system has passed regulatory compliance and trials with the customer, Australian Rail & Track Corporation. Future activities on ATMS include wider roll outs across the country and functionality enhancements, all of which require informal and formal testing prior to release.
About the role:
The System Integration and Test Engineer is primarily responsible for the successful planning and execution of the system integration activities for the ATMS project.
Your responsibilities will include:
Informal system integration testing and defect investigation
System test procedure development and execution
System test analysis and reporting
Preparation and execution of formal system integration testing including, establishing the test environment, scheduling, reporting
The System Integration and Test Engineer will also be a key leader in the broader ATMS system test program including leading the development and execution of the ATMS Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test procedures.
About you:
Advanced understanding of influence and impacts from other engineering disciplines (such as safety, software engineering and hardware engineering)
Extensive experience with deploying changes into the System Test Environment
Extensive understanding of the baselining of the System Under Test and configuration/change management of the formal Test Environment
Demonstrated experience with the Rail domain
Well-developed experience with testing of a safety critical system
