You will be the go-to Registered Psychiatric Nurse of this state of the art acute impatient unit, working with and leading a team of highly dedicated and ethical health professionals to ensure that a recovery-focused framework is provided for patients of this psychiatric unit as well as person-centered care.

Working within a team of professionals you will provide support, and supervisory care within the inpatient unit. You will be the pivotal professional for this high care wing that requires clinical oversight and operational performance. To be successful, a background in psychiatric-specific care is necessary and experience in psychiatric nursing. The goal is to provide the best quality care through developing and implementing managed care plans in order to transition patients out of high care and into a more independent way of living.
Description
The role is based in an idyllic Victorian town within a mental health facility close to Melbourne, the snow and the beach. You will encompass a core part of this team working with and reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager Mental Health Inpatient Services and the Operations Team. Person-centred care will be at the forefront of your mind and oversee patients from an individualist perspective.
Profile
Bachelor of Nursing
AHPRA Registration
Post graduate diploma in Mental Health
Knowledge of the mental health sector across acute inpatient units
Previous experience in leading or managing a team and evidence of leadership skills to achieve successful outcomes (minimum 2 years at least)
Valid Police Check (or eligible to apply)
Friendly, approachable and professional manner
Ability to work in a team and autonomously, leading from the front
IT software competency
