Work directly for one of Australia’s leading diversified property groups within their largest retail shopping centres based in Canberra as a Retail Marketing Manager. This opportunity will see you work with a collaborative and supportive team, working with an impressive calibre of retail tenants to promote centre management marketing functionality.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the purpose of this role is to determine, establish and execute effective marketing strategies with a good understanding of commerciality, in particular Return On Investment (ROI). Your flare for creativity and general hustle will help to maximise foot traffic in the centre and in turn increase sales for the retailers. You will continually work with retailers to ensure that they are marketing their business within the centre trade area. You’ll arrange and carry out quarterly meetings with all retail stakeholders to receive and exchange information to support the centre's innovation and consumer spending habits.
Key activities include;
To lead the development and implementation of the Centre’s Marketing Strategy
Developing an innovative and strategic marketing plan, supporting the centre
Overarching strategy customized to the local community
Generate consumer and retailer engagement and contribute to sales and traffic growth for the Centre
Create and send marketing newsletters and e-updates to the database
Manage operational spending, ensuring appropriately allocated budgets
Provide press releases to the local community
Establish a good network of affiliates and partners for centre activities and events
Build your knowledge of retail leasing within the centre and broader commercial drivers
You will have;
The ability to foster strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and share knowledge and experiences with colleagues
Experience to provide leadership within the Centre Management team
Prior marketing experience, supported with tertiary education such as a Bachelor of Marketing or similar
Fantastic levels of written and verbal communication, able to convey messaging and gain feedback
A good level of understanding of financials and ROI is essential
A good level of prior marketing experience, ideally within retail, or hospitality/leisure is essential
On offer is a salary of between $120k and $140k and the opportunity to step up and lead the effective marketing strategy for this respected retail operator. Only those with permanent residency or citizenship can be considered.
