My client, an Australian-owned Pharmaceutical company providing OTC consumer healthcare products based in Macquarie Park in Sydney, is looking to bring on a Demand Planning Manager to provide a leading connection between the Supply Chain and the Demand business.
Demand Planning Manager
The is a key role that will. Accountable for the 24-month rolling forecast into the Integrated Business Process and the facilitation of the IBP Demand Management Review. Reporting to the Sales Director the success of the role will be underpinned by strong collaboration capability that drives and holds accountability through the business planning forums.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Base Sales Forecasting - update forecasting model with accurate base sales for all products by analysing the latest scan data, predicting market growth, assessing distribution points and average weekly turn rates to establish weekly consumer demand in units and value for each product or product group.
Promotional Elastic Sales - lead reviews and consult with Account Managers to establish confirmed promotional events and timings. Add promotional incremental sales to base sales to establish total weekly consumer demand in units and value.
New Line Modelling - Accurately forecast value and timings of new line sales. In consultation with Account Managers, forecasting depth of distribution, average weekly turns, rate of distribution gains and size and timing of pipeline orders and managing the effect of deletions and grading changes. Ensure all data is accurately reflected in the sales forecast to generate a complete forecast for the assigned accounts and channels.
Integrated Business Planning Process
Facilitate the preparation of the DMR deck including dashboards preparation.
Align the DMR agenda with the Sales Director as step owner to ensure a clear review of objectives, decisions, and outcomes.
Monthly DMR facilitation and communication into the IBP process. · Reconciliation Review member as Demand representative.
Integrated Tactical Planning
Core contributor to the ITP process through Demand representation within the Demand Control horizon.
Request and align change to demand based on the firm and trading horizon.
Clear decision-making with clarity on cost, impact, options, recommendations, and benefits of change decisions.
Demand planning efficiency and continuous improvement
Implement and maintain the 6-step planning forecast process.
Retail Management Team
Active participant of the Retail Management team.
Responsible and accountable for the effectiveness of the quality management system in your area of responsibility, including communicating the Quality Policy and objectives to any relevant staff, ensuring staff understand and are trained in their procedural obligations, and for contributing to its improvement.
Notifying the QA Associate of adverse events to medicines within 24 hours.
KEY COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
Minimum 5 years experience in Demand Planning in OTC or FMCG industry.
Success in at least 2 of the following 3 areas: Demand functions (Marketing, Sales); Supply functions (Operations, Industrial Engineering, Commercial Purchasing, Logistics); Support functions (Finance, Personnel), Sales & Operations Planning.
