This is a newly created team at Boddington. 
 
About The Role: 
The Project Engineer – Medium Term Mine Planning is responsible for preparing plans for mining-related projects in the three month to three year time horizon. The role covers all aspects of mine planning and engineering works and has a site-focused scope with a strong interface with both Boddington site Short Term Mine Planning.
This exciting role is part of a newly created Medium Term Mine Planning team at Boddington, which includes a Planning Engineer, Senior Planning Engineer, Mining Project Engineer and Superintendent.
In This Role You Will:
Provide landform closure design for open pits and dumps from 3 years of mine planning.
Develop annual concurrent reclamation based on the three-year mine plan of site waste mass balance, dump construction schedule guidance, footprint preparation, and stockpiling of rehabilitation material guidance.
Support S&ER in completing the annual Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) estimation and reporting.
Assist the mine planning/engineering aspects for the RDA constructions.
Assist the mine planning/engineering aspects of the site Project for new layback mining and waste dump expansion.
Assist the mine planning/engineering aspects to pre-feasibility and feasibility study of Boddington's next layback
Generate a detailed schedule of works, budget expenditure, and execution plan for progressive closure works to be conducted each year
Generate detailed mine plan, work schedules, budget expenditure and execution plan for pre-strip works in new pits.
Your Skills, Training & Experience Checklist:
B.Eng. in Mine Engineering or Civil Engineering with five years of post-graduate experience.
Minimum two years of Production Engineering or Short Term Planning experience, preferably in an open-pit operation.
Experience in project management, technical report writing, and cost analysis and review.
Competence in using mine planning software is desirable, and experience MineSight, Alastri, and Maptek applications will be highly regarded.
Knowledgeable of unit costing methods and experience in financial analysis and financial models. 
Strong problem-solving skills.
