Ward 126-Respiratory Medicine
Exciting opportunities have arisen for experienced Nursing Assistants wanting to develop their skills and knowledge in Respiratory Medicine on Ward 126 at The Royal Stoke Hospital. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated people with a commitment to delivering world-class patient care.
The ward cares for patients with Respiratory illnesses including, COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Lung Cancer. We also manage patients with Chest drains and End of Life Palliation.
In addition, Ward 126 is part of the North Midlands Pleural disease Unit caring for patients requiring interventional treatment for the management of chest related illnesses. The ward has an excellent and supportive team of multi disciplinary members and has strong links with both the hospital respiratory team specialists and community staff to ensure best treatment and continuity.
The UHNM NHS Trust covers Royal Stoke Hospital in Stoke on Trent and County Hospital in Stafford. Royal Stoke a large acute teaching hospital, with a Turnover of £360 million. Located in Stoke on Trent and Stafford, UHNM is close to the M6, within commuting distance of culturally diverse major conurbations, such as Manchester and Birmingham and surrounded by rural pleasures, including the Peak District National Park.
