About Your Role

This Rydalmere based full time position is within our Avionics, Training & Simulation (AVS) business. It is to provide engineering and technical support for engineering activities in projects and bids and is accountable for ensuring the delivery of quality engineering solutions in response to project and customer needs.

  • Understand customer needs - requirements elicitation, analysis and development for new proposals including those resulting from Engineering Change Proposals on supported systems.
  • Ensure traceability of all requirements throughout the entire system development cycle and for all components.
  • Development of operational / mission / function description, architectural design and requirements documents.
  • Support or conduct of trade/trade-off studies to assist with selection of solutions and/or associated equipment, taking into account customer requirements, technical solutions, costs and risks.
  • Development and maintenance of product specifications, and detailed design documentation.. 
  • How About You?

  • Professional qualification majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other related technical systems and/or software fields.
  • Eligible for recognition by Engineers Australia (IEAust)
  • Practical experience in electrical, electronic, communication and information technology systems and the implementation of these systems.
  • Demonstrated ‘can do’ approach with a focus on achieving project milestones and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts, standards, systems and programs and their importance to the organisations success.
