Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown. SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems.
One of the key packages of work includes the fit out of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest tunnels and stations including provision of track, overhead wiring, HV reticulation, tunnel ventilation, fire services tunnel services.
We are currently recruiting for Safety Advisors to support Night Shift works across the metro project.
The Role Advise & coach operational managers, supervisors and workers in regard to achieving compliance and best practice for WHS, worker’s compensation & injury management Preparation of reports, develop and maintain WHS records and systems Conducting incident investigation, routine inspections, and audits Conducting safety training including toolbox talks and inductions Implementing and monitoring compliance with Safety Policy and legislative requirements

To be successful you will require: Certificate IV, Diploma and/or tertiary qualifications in WHS Excellent knowledge of the WHS, preferably in a construction, tunnel or rail environment. The ability to provide leadership, direction and support to all team members Clear communications skills and the ability to negotiate & collaborate ICAM Lead Investigator training, Return to Work Coordinator and RIW preferred Understanding of / exposure to NSW SafeWork, risk assessment and mitigation Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
