    Reporting to the Principal engineer - Structures, could you be our new Graduate Engineer – Structures?

    The role of Graduate Engineer - Structures is to conduct engineering activities as directed. This may include engineering project management team participation, technology development, design solution development, and engineering studies.

    About the role

  • This Position is a fixed Term contract.
  • The Graduate engineer - Structures position will focus on the assessment, maintenance, strengthening, renewal and upgrading of structures within the V/Line network.
  • This role will apply the learning obtained at university to practical engineering activities under supervision.
  • Support with the development of structural related standards/specifications, maintenance procedures and work instructions.
  • Undertake structural and asset conditioning inspection and desktop study.
  • Assist to coordinate contractors to support where works are to be undertaken on the V/Line network
  • Key selection criteria for the role

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a civil / structural engineering discipline suitable for registration as a Structural Engineer under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
  • Current driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • The suitable candidate will possess a strong willingness and enthusiasm to learn.

    The successful applicant will be paid commensurate with experience ranging from $81K - $109K. The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, probity (police) check and medical check.
