JOB DESCRIPTION

Major Road Projects Victoria

Working at Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV) means being part of something big.

We oversee more than 40 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads.

And with this growing portfolio of projects, it is vitally important that we strategically drive the development of our cost control functions/processes. Our Quantity Surveyor plays a key role in helping us achieve this.

We would love for you to apply, regardless of whether you think you tick all the boxes!

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Recording and maintaining accurate data sets and documentation in accordance with record keeping requirements.
  • Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors including preparing, issuing, adjusting and recommending appropriate subcontractors.
  • Supporting the early identification of risks and opportunities during the project development and design phase.
  • Providing support to the broader Project Controls and Project Delivery teams with the development and implementation of quantity reporting processes to drive consistency across MRPV.
  • Our Quantity Surveyor will bring to MRPV excellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet work demands in a high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will showcase their well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and show an ability to engage with key stakeholders in a professional and mature manner.

This is a 3-year fixed term opportunity based at our Melbourne CBD office.

  • In the last year 46% of the talent, we hired were women. Apply today and be a part of our future.
  • Our projects will reduce congestion and travel times, improve safety, connect communities and improve the roads you rely on every day.
  • Have you heard about our Ecologiq program at MRPV? We're working closely with the construction industry to remove barriers to the use of recycled content, to make sustainable materials the first choice where possible and pave a greener future for Victoria
  • Check out our news feed – we want our communities to have their say!
  • MRPV also welcomes flexible working arrangements, and should you be interested in part time availabilities, we encourage you to apply and discuss your preferences with our Talent Team.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which include national police checks and misconduct screening. Please be advised that it is requirement for all MTIA staff to be compliant with the MTIA COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (the Policy). The Policy stipulates that, unless an employee is an Excepted Person within the meaning of the Policy, in order to attend an MTIA workplace the employee must hold ‘up-to-date' vaccination status in accordance with ATAGI guidance, which for most includes their primary vaccination course and booster. Should you require further information about the Policy, please have a conversation with our Talent Acquisition team.
