In this role you’ll work alongside the team using your Guidewire expertise to design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. You’ll be exposed to a broad range of products in GuideWire and contribute to the exciting upgrade as we progress to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities Understand the SDLC model and what their specific activities are in designing and then delivering a solid, robust application, ensuring that it is communicated to internal Tech and Ops teams, business units and external partners and contractors, as required; Contribute to; technical design & analysis, software programming, software integration, package evaluation, package configuration and support, ensuring the end-to-end integrity and functionality of the software is within scope of the business solution; Design and develop code and/or application configuration and that is clean, understandable, maintainable, solid and aligns to coding and source code development standards; Design, develop and implement test plans to accurately test the application code, functions, modules, configuration and programs; Develop and maintain detailed and accurate documentation per all IAG standards; Defect fix during system and user acceptance testing; Maintain and update configuration components of applications, including environments, business rule tables, config files, APIs and other key application and business supporting activities, and identify improvements, such as automation for reduction of manual configuration steps;
Skills & Experience Experience in Configuration, Integration or Conversion of one of Guidewire modules: ClaimCenter / PolicyCenter/ BillingCenter (preferred but not essential) Experience in a core software development role Proven ability to implement generic, re-usable solutions, components or frameworks, including appropriate documentation and training; Implementation and configuration of software packages; Good working knowledge of the application design and development processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to applications projects Good understanding of structured programming principles (e.g. object-oriented) as applied to software development Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or Relevant Industry experience and/or qualifications
