Job Summary:

The Department of Biostatistics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Health Services Research Analyst, responsible for the execution of major components of qualitative and quantitative research projects in health services research, public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, medicine, health policy or related disciplines, independently, including clinical trials research.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate as a member of a research team on clinical research data management and reporting, and assists in the process of cleaning, enriching, validating, and curating clinical research and clinical trial data.
* Conduct data harmonization activities and apply standardized data models and assist the research team in the coding of data dictionaries and design of case report forms, questionnaires, and other data collection instruments, following the study design developed for the research program.
* Help to build, test, and deploy electronic data capture systems for clinical research and participate in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification and management of data.
* Generate summary reports and descriptive statistics to support study operations.
* Assist in providing statistical expertise on research projects, focusing specifically on the interface between data management processes and statistical processes.
* Implement planned analysis under supervision, including data verification and data correction as necessary, using one or more systems of computer hardware and statistical analysis software for the management and analysis of data.
* Assist in the publication of research projects and participate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations summarizing data analysis results, including detailed description of statistical methods, detailed analysis of results, and synthesis of conclusions from summary tables.
* Use quantitative and qualitative research skills to lead parts of research projects. Contributes to the coordination and conduct of research projects.
