**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft fuel systems.

+ Drains fuel from tanks and cells.

+ Performs purge operations on cells and tanks.

+ Removes, reassembles and installs components.

+ Cleans and inspects fuel cells.

+ Monitors the need for sealants and necessary seals for mission support.

+ Monitors bench stock, shops stock and Composite Tool Kits (CTK's).

+ Performs on and off equipment maintenance, as required.

+ Uses maintenance instructions and technical data for inspections, maintenance, and repair of aircraft.

+ Provides the specialized knowledge to accomplish difficult repairs and perform major repairs, as needed.

+ Documents discrepancies in the applicable form(s) and inputs data in Maintenance Information Systems (MIS)

+ Orders materials and supplies, as required.

+ Ensures compliance with applicable safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs.

+ Duties involve working with fuels, oils, lubricants, chemical cleaners and solutions.

+ Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.

**Responsibilities**

+ Must have a strong working knowledge of fuel systems maintenance procedures and completion of fuel systems specialized courses are required.

+ A minimum of three years recent fuel systems experience is required.

+ A working knowledge of procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials is required.

+ An Occupational Physical is required.

+ Respirator Training, Fuel Systems Confined Space Entry Training and CPR training is required.

+ The ability to read and interpret technical data is required.

+ Must possess effective communicate abilities both verbally and in writing.

+ Must obtain a FAA Airframe license.

+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance and Government flight line driver's license.

+ Must be able to work day, swing, night, and/or weekend shifts as required.

+ Shall perform other duties within classification and must be able to travel to include TDYs.

+ Must maintain training requirementsPhysical Requirements:

+ Must pass an Occupational Physical
