ABB's Electrification Global Markets organization is responsible for the go-to-market strategy in 100+ countries where the Electrification Business Area operates. The role reports to the Sales Manager and is located in Houston, Texas. The ABB Electrification team in Houston is looking for the next brightest star to help continue their path of unprecedented growth and success through electrifying the industrial, OEM and construction markets in the greater Houston & gulf coast area. Your responsibilities

* Study and analyze market trends, prospect large capital project opportunities, coordinate project bid strategy discussions
* Support outside sales account managers with preparation of equipment project proposals, perform technical and commercial proposal reviews, evaluate project price and profitability
* Assist sales with customer bid negotiations to help ABB secure project wins and optimize profitability
* Operate within Salesforce.com to help the sales team accurately track opportunity pipelines and assist finance and operational leaders with project forecasting
* Use product configurator software to develop effective technical proposals and equipment layout drawings per customer plans and specifications
* Collaborate across business lines to help leverage ABB's entire product portfolio
* Provide technical and logistical support to ABB customers and channel partners

Your background

* Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or industrial engineering
* Minimum GPA of 3.0
* Passion for success, learning and teamwork is a must
* Experience with technical presentations, oral communication abilities in person and over the phone, drafting professionally written emails and technical documents is important
* Experience with customer service and managing client expectations is desired
* Currently enrolled in a degree program in the US
* Must be currently authorized to work for ABB in the US
