Due to our operational expansion, we now have an opportunity to recruit a Repair & Spray Shop Operative in our Operations team.

*Summary: *

Working in a busy environment in the Repair department, the Repair/Spray Paint Operative will be responsible for applying spray paints to a variety of IT Hardware being refurbished for resale. This will include preparation and reassembly of products as well as relevant administration.

Also assisting the team in the physical repairs of products being refurbished.

This is a very hands-on role, with last-minute high priority orders possible, necessitating someone with good time management and prioritisation skills.

*Responsibilities: *

* Performing surface preparation to parts prior to the actual painting.
* Work with instructions and work orders from the process supervisor, assistant or lead person.
* Undertaking inspection of department tools, equipment, and materials and reporting of any issues.
* Responsible for choosing the appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays for relevant refurbishing tasks
* Preparation of parts and assemblies for painting and other refurbishment.
* Ensuring the facilities and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition.
* Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors.
* Applying paint in conformance with all relevant specifications, utilising spray gun/Spray cans provided.
* Assisting in ensuring HS&E and COSHH records are kept up to date on solvent paints.
* Assisting in assessing suspected faulty or damaged parts, using cost-benefit analysis to determine whether an electronic component requires repair and to carry any repairs needed
* Administrating the in-house ticketing system for Repairs/Paints, ensuring this is kept up to date and organised. (Recording all repair and refurbishment works conducted)

*Required Skills or Training: *

* Previous experience in, or currently training in Spray Painting operations.
* Be computer literate
* Ability to prioritise tasks
* Ability to both follow instructions and use own initiative
* Comfortable working alone and within a team
* Have basic electronic knowledge or will to learn
* Good analytical skills
* Good interpersonal skills
