Job Background/context:

With growing operations at Kaleyra, there is a need of hiring a Dev Ops Lead who will Function as a Lead technical resource

to members of the DevOps Team.


Role & Responsibilities:

Function as a Lead technical resource to members of the DevOps Team

Enhance delivery and orchestration of cloud and platform services through code.

Design and maintain DevOps release mechanisms for production and testing environments

Version, build and deploy containerized applications across all environments utilizing Jenkins, EKS, Helm and Docker

Implement, operate and optimize CI/CD pipelines for effective delivery of cloud resources and software

Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.

Work with DevOps team and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions and perform root cause analysis.

Desire to learn and take on new challenges.

Adhere to the change management methodologies within the organization.

Ensure that the proper controls and monitoring and notification systems are in place.

Be willing to work non-standard hours to implement production releases and when other needs arise.

Coordinate and Collaborate with the Applications Development team on a regular basis.


Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS ECS/EKS)

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)

Experience with the Git tools (Github, Gitlab)

Experience with the Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket)

Experience with search and log analytics tools (Graylog, Elasticsearch, Kibana)

Working with service mesh technology (AppMesh)

Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud Formation)

Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Jenkins, Terraform)

Strong understanding of microservice architecture, applications, and supporting services

Expertise with AWS (e.g. IAM, EC2, EMR, VPC, EBS, EFS, S3, ELB)

Version control system experience (e.g. Git)

Basic Operating System knowledge (Linux and Windows)

Develop, test and maintain DR procedures
