Overview: The Investor Services Team provides operational support and service to Commonfund’s clients, investors and internal staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-starter, able to multi-task, responsive to client requests and able to work collaboratively with various departments within the organization. This person will also have great communication and phone skills to facilitate interaction with clients, other departments and external vendors.

This is a hybrid role based out of the Wilton, Connecticut office. Candidates will have the option to work remotely from home several days each week.

This position has multiple responsibilities, including:

  1. Coordinate the successful implementation of investment subscriptions from existing and prospective investors across all investment programs.
  2. Support all investors through account setup, transaction processing, execution, cash management and reconciliation.
  3. Respond to client inquiries and requests from internal and external clients in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
  4. Perform, manage, and assist with other related projects.

Essential duties of this position include:

  • Understand all legal, investment and eligibility related details associated with all of Commonfund’s investment programs.
  • Participate in the account set up process for new investors, maintain investor information and process database changes.
  • Process transactions in investor accounts for various types of investments and clients.
  • Assist in recommending, testing, and implementing enhancements to the systems supporting the Investor Services Team and external clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Commonfund products and procedures.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Conduct all communication with a professional presence, knowledge and the skill to effectively represent Commonfund to staff and investors.
  • Respond to complex inquiries and requests from investors and clients in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Investment and Fund Operations teams.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of investor transaction and position activity, portfolio accounting reports, and performance data. Assist with managing investor reporting processes.
  • Participate in the reporting and review of portfolio audit materials and provide investor support during fiscal year end portfolio audits.


  • Undergraduate degree required from an accredited college/university. Related financial services experience a plus.

  • Series 7 & 63 FINRA licenses are required. (Can be acquired within 120 days after joining Commonfund)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives.
  • Client communication experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.
