Area Development Manager

The Lanes Group needs an experienced Area Development Manager to join our depot network.

** Salary £32,000 to 35,000 dependent on experience. Uncapped commission. £1,000 joining bonus payment, payable after 3 months

The job:

Based at our local office and reporting to the Depot Manager, the role is targeted on developing and sustaining new business clients as well as servicing the requirements of the existing customer base through promoting the sale of all of the company's services. Whilst you will be supported by a centralised marketing team, the role is hands-on with the requirement for site visits, cold calling and B2B interface to provide drainage solutions to fit customer requirements.

Within this role you will source new business to promote the growth of the company and provide detailed information to Marketing Department relevant to any potential key accounts.

Additionally, you will support Depot Managers in achieving budget sales targets and assist in the management of the sales where required. You will also produce weekly quote levels, along with sales figures and reports, and interface with clients to assist in providing best possible solutions for resolving problems.

About you:

Exceptional sales and customer service skills are key to success in this role. With previous field sales experience and a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points, you will have good IT literacy and presentation skills. Service industry or reactive maintenance experience is also vital to the role.

Experience within the Drainage / Construction / Civil Engineering / Waste or Utilities industries would be an advantage but a desire to learn the product range and apply your experience is vital.

You may have experience of the following: Drainage, Construction, Civil Engineering, Area Sales Executive, Lead Generation, Reactive Maintenance, New Business Development, etc.
