Overview / Responsibilities

Wood has an immediate requirement for a Mobile App Developer to join our Digital and Information Technology team.  Ideally this role will be based in Perth, however we encourage applicants based elsewhere in Australia to apply.  This is a career development permanent staff role, reporting to the Development Manager enjoying a flexible working environment with an immediate start.

This role offers you an opportunity to work across different fields within the energy sector from engineering, inspection and risk analysis through to digital video recording.   Wood is a vibrant and dynamic community of technical professionals, working together to find solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.  We want to excite and inspire those joining the company by sharing the energy, expertise and insight as we come together as #teamwood.  We consult on multiple projects and employ technical experts in the areas of technology, project management, subsea hardware, controls and automation.  We engage talented individuals who wish to build their careers and be recognised for their efforts.  Specifically, this role includes

Working together with a small team on a range of existing desktop, web and mobile applications

Working independently to build and deploy mobile applications

Developing / maintaining / extending an existing Swift based iOS application.

Communicating effectively with the team members on various tasks and projects as assigned

Investigating and gathering information required to complete assignments within deadlines

Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Computing Science or Diploma / Certificate in Computer Programming or Application Development is required

6+ years of development experience in a project team environment

Required proficiency in Swift

Must have an understanding of software development best practices and tools such as version control with Subversion and build servers / continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
