Our client has been built by industry leading pioneers in Australia. After the successful sale of the sector leading company they founded, with an abundance of capital and freed from the constraints of a large business, together they set their attention on delivering the much-needed application of new technology (web, cloud, mobile) to their industry. Together they designed, coded and released their built-for-user SaaS platform, which after five years is now used by 50% of their industry, accounting for more than AUD$20b in transactions per year.
Their market leading and unrivalled platform, puts them in a unique position to become the industries foundation platform for all data, services and technology. This step involves extending their solutions into four mobile-led (B2B & B2C) products to seamlessly connect parties in a four million user ecosystem for the first time ever.
Their current mobile solutions include iOS, Android and Flutter, with a focus Flutter. Reporting to a high-profile CTO, collaborating with four Team Leader peers and working closely with the product team, you will have full ownership and autonomy in leading your team to design, build and deliver mobile products including assessing and choosing technologies and architectural design.
Working with senior business stakeholders, your role will be to create structure and focus for mobile solution delivery in line with the company strategy. You will have formal management and development responsibility for an existing team of three senior mobile developments, whilst you continue to hire new developers to build out this forming team.
Whilst you may well come from a coding and architecture background, this is a leadership role with a 90%+ team management focus (you can get hands-on with tech if and when you see fit). The key requirement is leadership capability with proven experience building and evolving high performance product-based tech teams.
You will be working in a fantastic engineering culture, driven by owners who are software experts themselves. The engineering group is all pulling in the same direction, driven by members who are respectful, skilled and avid learners, collaborators and builders.
Peoplebank has worked in close partnership with the founders of this business to build their leadership and engineering group and will be able to provide suitable candidates with a detailed account of the business and technology landscape and the role this position will play in their success.
