About the team
Sydney Metro is leading Australia’s biggest public transport infrastructure program, developing and delivering a new world-class metro railway system for Sydney.
As a new NSW Government statutory authority, Sydney Metro has been tasked with developing and delivering metro railways and managing their operations. Sydney Metro also leads the development of vibrant station precincts to meet customer and community needs, transforming the way Sydney travels and helping shape the future of Australia’s largest city.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Systems Assurance professional to join the Projects Division at Sydney Metro, working on the City & Southwest Project.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Systems Assurance, you will be managing engineering assurance documentation, technical standards, design control and reporting guidelines to meet business and legislative requirements and enabling communication between contractors and Transport for NSW on performance and specification requirements.
This role provides advice on key governance, planning and design stream issues in accordance with Authorised Engineering Organisation obligations to support decision making across a variety of stakeholders.
Please note that this role is a Temporary Fixed Term position for 24 months.

You will have demonstrated experience working in Systems Assurance and have a high degree of knowledge regarding systems engineering, safety assurance and accreditation requirements.
You will also be tertiary qualified in an Engineering discipline and your knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, technical standards and codes of practice in a multidisciplinary engineering environment will be required to succeed in this role.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) plus superannuation and leave loading.
