Manager, Business & Customer Insights, Brampton, ON
We are looking for an individual with a strong analytical and strategic mindset to join us and better understand customer behaviour across the various businesses at Loblaw. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive insights across the enterprise working with the data from the largest Loyalty program in Canada.
As the Manager in the Business & Customer Insights team, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to provide analysis and insights into customer behaviour, and proactively provide recommendations leading to action from insights. You will be the subject matter expert for providing objective, value-added analysis and recommendations to facilitate discussions & decisions related to high profile loyalty initiatives. The Manager will provide support for various business partners in the Enterprise, such as the Divisions, Strategy, Marketing, Loblaw Technology, and other business partner teams.
What You'll Do:
Lead the translation of various stakeholder requests and questions into analytical problems. Requests can be strategic or tactical in nature, including but not limited to customer behaviour, targeting, segmentations, development of dashboards, reports, targeting effectiveness, and post-campaign measurement
Coach, develop and mentor team members including the performance management and development of colleagues while considering on-the-job training needs for each colleague, arranging appropriate training, providing timely feedback, and succession planning
Working proactively to develop customer insights, presentations, and overall PC Optimum metrics using data to grow the program, and develop a strong relationship with business partners to help in their day-to-day decision making
Effectively communicate across different forums and audiences verbally and in writing (e.g. formal presentations, one-on-one meetings, in front of large audiences, with business leaders)
Proactively engage in opportunities to improve the health and engagement of the loyalty program, through innovative ideas and process improvement
What You Bring:
Strong leader skills and ability to build and maintain effective cross functional relationships
Proven experience leading a team, with 3+ years of work experience in an analytical role. Experience ideally in Retail, Loyalty, CPG industry, Consumer Finance, Telecommunications, or Consulting
Experience with various programming languages / platforms (Python, SQL, R, GCP) is an asset. Excellent skills with Excel and PowerPoint. Candidates with a strong technical background is preferred
Innovative self-starter and customer centric thinking, with strong critical thinking / problem solving skills and ability to take requests vague in nature, and distill them into practical insights
Strong storytelling and ability to take complex solutions and simplify them into effective stories through presentation decks
Strong ability to manage competing priorities and move in a fast-paced dynamic environment, while maintaining ability to influence across all levels of the team and in the organization
Comfortable moving from ‘Big Picture’ strategy thinking to detailed execution seamlessly with strong attention to detail
