Role – Accounting TechnicianLocation – Cardiff (Pentwyn)Salary – £25,000 to £30,000 based on 37.5 hours per week.The finance team at Orbis Education and Care ensure that the residential care homes and schools we manage have the support they need with all financial matters. Your time as an Accounting Technician will be spend processing invoices, posting receipts on our Finance system and guaranteeing that our managers within our homes understand the importance of, and processes, related to anything financial within their business area.Your experience and knowledge will assist in ensuring that vulnerable people using our services get the support and care that they need by ensuring the home in which they live, or the school that they attend has it’s finances in order.A day in the life of An Accounting Technician with Orbis Education and Care Involves:
  • Responsibility for credit control
  • Responsibility for sales invoicing
  • Investigation of cash receipts and posting of receipts
  • supporting our home managers providing education, training and support on financial processes.
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • Bank Account reconciliation
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual external audit.
  • Developing and managing financial systems, controls and policies.
  • Contribute to streamlining and standardisation of our financial processes, including integrating new homes.
To be a successful Account Technician with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:
  • To be studying, or have your AAT qualification (Or equivalent)
  • Strong Microsoft experience, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
