Support Worker

Location: Hemel Hempstead and surrounding area

Salary: £11.15 per hour

Our client has immediate opportunities for experienced Support Workers in Hemel Hempstead & surrounding areas. However, if you are passionate about care, please feel free to apply as full training will be given to the right candidate regardless of experience and qualifications.The company provide a caring atmosphere for adults with disabilities and/or autism and those with complex needs who live in their own accommodation, whether owned or rented. They also operate outreach support to individuals living with their family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively support the individuals with all daily support needs, including medical, social, and education related appointments and routines. Ensure that their homes/living spaces are well maintained.
  • Actively contribute to and promote the welfare of the individuals we support in all areas of their daily life and lifestyle, including preparing meals, and supporting them with access in the community, shopping, and planning weekly activities.
  • Work within all Policies, Procedures and Guidelines provided by CSMK Hertfordshire, including accurate record keeping, confidentiality and GDPR.
  • Actively participate in the research, planning and implementation of educational activities and work placements with service users.

Desirable Experience Skills and Qualifications

  • Ideally hold a QCF level 2/3 in Health & Social Care – (However, training will be provided to candidates with the right aptitude and passion for the role)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ideally have experience of working with adults with disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Full Driving licence with access to own vehicle (but not essential).
  • Undergo any required health and/or security checks including DBS checks and references for the role; supply any required evidence or information for these as part of our recruitment process

Remuneration PackagePermanent support worker roles are paid at £11.15 per hour including comprehensive training and shadow shifts. Genuine opportunities for role progression form an attractive aspect of the support worker role. Annual performance related bonus may also be offered.
