I am currently recruiting for a Communications and Campaigns Manager to work with our client, a leading public sector organisation based in Wakefield.

As part of the Communications, Engagement and Marketing Service, you will work closely with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to help develop and deliver communications and campaign plans to influence public behaviour and improve the health and wellbeing of Wakefield residents.

Duties include:

  • To contribute to raising the profile of the organisation by enhancing its reputation and corporate identity, strengthening and managing Wakefield Council’s brand and image.
  • To manage, monitor, and evaluate the Directorate’s communications priorities to a high standard
  • To ensure the Communications Service provides coordinated and proactive internal communications, media relations and marketing services to the Directorate to maximise opportunities to communicate the organisations activities and policies.
  • To develop new ways of working to improve communications activity and effectiveness in the organisation, including the use of social media where appropriate.
  • To devise, agree, account manage, and, where appropriate, implement plans for integrated multi-channel communications campaigns

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have significant experience of working in a communications, marketing or PR environment, and of working successfully as part of a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Have a proven track record of planning and delivering successful multi-channel communications and marketing campaigns, and evidencing the impact they make.
  • Clear understanding of communications and marketing techniques and channels, including social media
  • Clear understanding of communications campaigns planning and delivery.

The hours of work are full time, Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week. The pay rate is £18.85 per hour.
